SDGE Lets the Sun Shine In
The recent unveiling of a new solar energy structure in the county of San Diego promises to provide enough energy annually for 107 households.
That’s A Lot of Sunshine
While 24 solar panels topping off the seven story mega structure will provide the generation of 620,000 kW (kilowatts) of renewable power, the building itself will serve the dual purpose of providing more than enough parking shaded areas for its employees. 376 tons annually of greenhouse will be eliminated by development of this SDGE project. The site will not only house the renewable energy creating solar panels but will be home to nine San Diego County departments as well. The San Diego sheriff’s department, San Diego’s Park and Rec and of course the department of public works are just a few of the organizations that will call the new building home.
A Community Project
This energy source will be available to the entire community by sending electricity from the SDGE owned and operated system directly to the community’s power grid. Lease payments of $60,000 over a 10 year span will be generated by the county’s hosting the system. If parking garages were designed to create the renewable energy that solar power provides, imagine the outcome. This design could be the future of parking structures throughout the world; a prime example of the green infrastructural initiatives to hopefully be put into motion this year. While creating more energy and cleaning up the air, San Diego projects the opening of a 45 kW solar energy system in the spring and an additional 30 kilowatt system during the summer. But wait there’s more. SDGE’s largest project to date is anticipated to be housed at the East Mesa Detention Facility sometime in September.
The San Diego Gas &Electric company is working not only for the present before the future as well.
When it comes to online motorbike games, there are a number of different formats of play. The most popular ones are the 2-D versions that involve motorbikes or ATVs that perform various flips as they make their way through scenarios of escalating difficulty. There are, however, variations on the theme. Some games are viewed from above as motorcycles race along a speedway. The cursor arrows control the motorbike as it winds its way through the curve on the track.
Bird’s Eye View
Online play usually involves just one player, and in a race track format, the other motorcycles are driven by the computer. There are also interactive versions, though, in which different players are actually controlling each of the racers. In some of these races, the motorcycles are able to crash. In others, they simply “go through” each other, as the game only focuses on advancing to the finish line. Either way, these games demand quite a bit of skill, and so are popular amongst players young, old and in-between.
First-Person Flavor
There are also many first-person motorbike games online, with graphics reflecting urban scenarios. Motorbikes race through city streets with reckless abandon, dodging obstacles and performing stunts on big jumps to rack up points. Again, the other riders in the competive scenarios are usually non-player characters incorporated by the game’s creators. The same basic guidance and propulsion system (cursor arrows on your computer keyboard) are used as in other motorbike games.
Which style of motorbike games one chooses to play could be just a matter of preference to some gaming enthusiasts, but for the most part, motorbike games (especially since they are free) are enjoyable in just about every format. One need not be exclusive about motorbike games when there are so many of them to be had online.

Before You Sign Your New Policy Do This
Make sure that you retain your right to sue before you sign the insurance paperwork because you will protect yourself legally just in case you have an accident and your insurer doesn’t provide the coverage that they promised. You should also avoid companies that have after market parts requirements especially if it’s a new car that you’re driving. This is vital if you have a new car that you want to drive for a while because nobody wants to have aftermarket parts on an newer car. Last of all when you’re ready to sign your new policy be sure to cancel your old policy to avoid getting double billed when you only need one insurance policy.

While the roughneck is a moniker for unskilled labor, hired hands and such; most people associate it with the jobs in the Oil industry. And while it may even pertain to the semi-skilled (some drillers are regarded as roughnecks) people might have to rethink that after witnessing the drilling that was executed in the dramatic rescue of the Chilean miners. On an oil rig a newcomer might also be called a Roustabout.
The Oil Rig
As far as jobs in the Oil and Gas industry go, the roughneck is at the bottom. It is where the unskilled laborer starts and often remains. But regardless as to how these jobs are viewed they are an essential part of the rig and indeed the Oil and Gas Industry. Most of the time they work long days, often many in a row and often in harsh conditions. For the most part the roughneck takes care of the maintenance of the oil rig. They do the cleaning and the minor repairs and make sure everything is functional so that the oil rig can function smoothly. Some of the more veteran roughnecks will also repair the machinery and equipment or connect sections of the pipes. On average there are about four crews on an oil rig and most often they work twelve hour shifts. And each of the crews have about two or three roughnecks. As one can guess, it’s tough and dirty work, but the Oil and Gas industry values loyalty and an enthusiastic roughneck with a strong work ethic can move up on any oil rig.
Compensation
While of course it varies in regard to which company you work for, a roughneck can expect to make at least 35k and in some instances upwards of 50k. And usually decent benefits are included. So for those not afraid to get a little dirty and would prefer a stable job in the oil industry with the chance for advancement, being a roughneck is a good place to start.
Betting Lingo; Know the Game
For those newcomers wandering into online betting sites for the first time, it is an excellent idea to make sure that you understand the language. The glossary of gambling and betting words and phrases is extensive. When money is involved, you don’t want to appear foolish. If you don’t know every aspect of the culture, perhaps it is best to stay on the sidelines or keep your wagering experience local and simple.
It’s all Greek to Me
If you’re a big fan of the National Basketball Association and want to start betting on it, it’s best to know who the “dog” is (underdog) and what the line is. The line is the points determined for both favorite and dog. If the Phoenix Suns are at the Los Angeles Lakers, the line might look like this; Lakers -10 Suns. Which means the Lakers must win by 11(ties are a push-money is refunded. If the final score is Lakers 107 and Suns 100 and you bet the Suns, you win. If you wanted to win 100.00 dollars, you’d have to bet 110.00. That extra ten percent is the vigorish, the vig, the juice, the cost of doing business. The house always gets a little something off of NBA betting.
When a game is a “pick or a pick ’em”, that means there is no clear cut favorite and no points either way are involved. If you doing a little research on pro basketball and read the phrase “straight-up” (SU) and “against the spread” (ATS) this pertains to a teams performance against the line. “Straight up” means the dog won outright, no points, needed and “against the spread” means just that. During any long pro basketball season, a savvy player should be able to unearth a team that is on a roll…ATS.

But with a little legwork and research, there’s no reason that one shouldn’t be able to purchase an R.V. vehicle within their budget.
The Moderate-Priced R.V.
One thing to be aware of is that regardless of which way you want to go, your going to pay a pretty penny for any type of vacation vehicle, even if it’s used. The pull along trailer is a popular item. These usually can sleep four comfortably, they have a small kitchenette, stove and a small dining area. But of course you’ll need a strong vehicle to lug these around, preferably a truck. The price range of these can go up over 20,000 dollars, in that some can be a luxurious as a motor home. However, you can still find an excellent one for a price of around 7,500. If your purchasing a used, drivable R.V., be more concerned with the manner in which it runs rather in the condition of the interior. The interior can always be spruced up, but a lemon is a lemon.
The High End
The mere names; Wind-Jammer, Whispering Vistas, Cyclone, Golden Eagle conjure up images of freedom, natural wonders and the open road. These ornate, mammoth motor homes come equipped with all the comforts of home and more. Before The In-Real-Life Date
Online dating sites and social media outlets make it easy to meet potential partners. You can develop a relationship slowly, starting out with just very casual contact and moving into deeper discussions as time goes on. Making the decision to take that relationship into real life can be a difficult one and there is definitely some thought that goes into it. There are a few important questions to consider before a face-to-face date.
Will I be disappointed if this person doesn’t look just like their picture?
If you’ve built up an image of this person in your mind that still relies around their picture, be forewarned that you might be in for a let down. Think about your own picture that you share online. You share it because you really like it and you look really good. Do you always look that good? Chances are no, and chances are it’s the same with your date. If you haven’t developed a good friendship and rapport with this person that would allow you to look past a few extra pounds or a year or two of aging, disappointment could be inevitable.
Do I have confidence in this persons honesty, and in my own?
Honesty is tricky business, especially online where we can take on any persona we want from behind the anonymity of our computer screens. Judging the honesty of a potential partner online is nearly impossible, but this is where gut feelings come into play. If anything about this persons “story” has had you wondering or raised red flags, realize that you probably shouldn’t have 100% confidence in what they’ve told you. Also remember that if you’ve been less than honest you’ll need to either fess up or keep a running tally of all your lies to maintain whatever persona you’ve created. That is just disaster waiting to happen.
Take it slow when moving a relationship from online to off. Examine the relationship you’ve built so far and decide if it’s truly worth taking into the real world before you start dating everyone who sends you a private message.

Cigar Etiquette
The cigar has such a strong aroma, that even when one is lit up and puffed outdoors, the stench can be annoying, especially if the wind shifts. And most everyone has or had an Uncle Ed, who had a cigar permanently sticking out of the side of his mouth, and he lit that thing anywhere he wanted. No one likes a garrulous lout. So take precautions not to offend others around you when you light up that cigar. It’s too bad a cigar can’t smell like a pipe, especially the delightful fragrance of a Sir Walter Raleigh tobacco, that seems to sooth both women and children alike.
Places Best Not to Lit Up
If your still not sure what’s a good place or time to smoke that stogie, here’s a short list.
You probably don’t want to fire up at your son’s or daughter’s Little League game or soccer practice. Yes it’s in the wide open spaces, but god forbid if a plume of smoke descends on a mother as she’s slicing up apple wedges, or opening up a fruit box. Be careful of tight, confined outdoor gatherings like barbeques and pool parties. Your treasured smoke can linger and offend there too.
Be Kind to Others
After having a cigar in your puss for a bit of time, be aware that your breath could be hellacious. So when you stub it out and return to the party, pop a mint or five Beelzebub, you’ll be doing those around you a favor. Same with your clothes, after a night at the cigar club, a good dusting of a fragrant aroma might make your return home a little more pleasant. And if your carrying two stogies, and a friend, or even a stranger comes on the scene, offer them a smoke. Nothing creates a good bond and stimulates deep conversation like a cigar. The same goes for offer a pinch of Captain Black pipe tobacco when smoking a pipe. If ever in doubt about protocol, just ask yourself, “What would Sir Walter Raleigh do?
The Thunderbirds DVD Series
Thunderbird, a British children series produced by A.P. Films (later named Century 21 Productions) in the mid-1960s, remains popular in both in syndication and in the sales of DVDs. Superannuation was the method for the show’s remarkable miniaturized special effects, the brainchild of Derek Meddings, who later won an Oscar for his work in the first Superman movie. One of his more significant achievements was the “rolling sky” effect, in which a canvas background on rollers was used to create the convincing illusion of motion, either on roads or across the sky.
Cult Classic
Thunderbirds DVD series can be purchased , which is the optimal way to fully absorb all of the stimuli that Thunderbirds throws at the viewers. The plot follows the Tracy family, headed by patriarch Jeff Tracy, a millionaire former astronaut who leads his five sons (named after five of the astronauts from NASA’s Mercury program) on international rescue adventures. Often they were responding to natural disasters or accidents, but sometimes a mysterious character (known only as “The Hood”) would commit some act of espionage, usually to attract the Tracy team in hopes of stealing or compromising one of their high-tech rescue vehicles.
Mysterious, Thrilling
There has always been some speculation as to precisely when in the future the series is set. Various calendar and newspaper sightings place the time anywhere between 2026 and 2065. The show itself never specifies, only using the identifier of the 21st century. Whatever year it takes place, the show is riveting both to children (due to the suspenseful serial format) and adults who are transfixed by the show’s special effects, complete with scale-model pyrotechnics. Barry Gray’s thrilling score puts the icing on the cake.
The lead character, Jeff Tracy – voiced by actor Peter Dyneley – is clearly modeled after American actor Lorne Greene (Bonanza, Battlestar Galactica). 32 episodes were aired between 1965 and 1966, until it was closed by head honcho Lew Grade, who considered the show too expensive to continue without a foothold in the U.S. television market, which proved unwilling to take the project on despite much cajoling from Grade. In 2004, Thunderbirds was adapted into a major motion picture, directed by Jeffrey Frakes, and remains under consideration for a modern-day TV remake.
