MP Tourism Logo

Exhibit 1: The “new” MP tourism logo.

Shotokan

Exhibit2: The famous tiger of Shotokan Karate.

Aplogies for Ellroyish alliteration, but the crime demands nothing less.

The tiger was painted by the great Japanese artist, Hoan Kosugi, to honour Master Funakoshi (father of modern Karate) who used it on the cover of his first book.

A word of advise to the “designers” behind MP Tourism tiger. Pissing off a bunch of black belts is a bad career move.

Hat tip: New-n-Improved

They are likening it to a Chinese logo, which raises some more questions.
